I’ve been longarm quilting for about five years, and I think my excitement about these incredible machines is only increasing. Pattern design for me was an unexpected covid pivot (as it could be done from home) but has turned into one of my favourite aspects of the studio because it’s allowed me to connect with the creative, friendly and enthusiastic world-wide longarm quilting community. I studied Painting and Printmaking at The Glasgow School of Art and pattern design has enabled me to do the very difficult thing of actually using a fine art degree in the real world. I teach longarm quilting from my studio in Glasgow and my inspiration for new patterns always comes from my quilters.
